When the trailer for On the Way Home caught the eye of the European Union, Director Giorgi Kvelidze and I were invited to embark on a new project: creating four short documentaries across Georgia to premiere on EU Day. I returned as Director of Photography for the series.

Titled Europe and Me, the films celebrate the shared values that connect Georgia and Europe—diversity, equality, freedom, and democracy. Each story unfolds in a different region, reflecting both the cultural richness of its people and the beauty of its landscapes. With EU Day just weeks away, we set out on an ambitious month-long shoot, traveling through Kakheti, Imereti, Guria, and Racha-Leckhumi.

The series debuted on Europe Day 2022 at a premiere attended by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, President Salome Zourabichvili, and EU Ambassador Carl Hartzell.
